Bengali name of this tree is royna(রয়না).Another name of this tree is pithraj(পিথরাজ).Oil of the seeds is used to treatment of reumatism.Oil has pestisidal character.Falk people of Bangladesh massage their body parts with this oil before laid down into poluted water to prevent insect bite.Extract of bark, leaves and roots have antitumar activity.Oil is not edible and can be used as biodiesel and lighting.
